This happens once every 2 months or so.

Cratejoy is the largest subscription platform in the world and our website sits on their platform. Cratejoy also communicates the payment transaction to our payment processor, Stripe. It's similar to Sainsbury's website sitting on Amazon's S3 web hosting platform.

When a subscription payment is taken, the card system makes a "micro" test payment of a penny or so to make sure the card is genuine for potential future purchases. The same happens when you enter your card in a petrol pump before filling up. These payments never show on a statement as it's only a test transaction.

Some card companies in the UK may query this as the Cratejoy name is different to our name. The two banks that tend to do this are M&S and Nationwide.

We have hundreds of orders every day but someone new at the bank probably does not know this. Call your bank and tell them that the transaction is safe. they will then unblock the card.

Sorry for the inconvenience and any worry that you have been caused. Over 25,000 customers use our service with zero fraud issues.
